Voiceover: Holy [bleep].

Kenneth: That's definitely their closet now. This poor girl is going to need a new wardrobe when these roaches are done with it.

My name is Kenneth. I'm a roach expert. What roaches do at night is worse than you think. Cockroaches will definitely get into any type of hidden space. Blenders, coffee machines, toasters. So, if you're seeing them in your closet, they're probably elsewhere in the home, too.

Roaches are nocturnal. So, if you're seeing these guys in the daytime, it probably means you have a roach infestation. Roach droppings can often look like ground coffee or black pepper. The roaches can actually carry E. coli, Salmonella, and staph. These guys can definitely contaminate your food.

Majority of your roach problem is usually tucked underneath your kitchen stove and your walls. And those sprays at the hardware store, those are only going to kill the roaches you see. You don't want roaches in your home, so this is how you keep them out:

One, clean up those crumbs.

Two, seal those food containers.

Three, fix those leaks.

And four, make sure you seal gaps around windows, pipes, and doorways.

If you've seen any signs of cockroaches in your home or your wardrobe, give us a call.

Summary:

Seeing cockroaches in your closet in the daytime or their droppings can indicate an infestation. And while infestations often hide under kitchen stoves and in walls, they can still contaminate your food. Cockroach prevention involves: cleaning crumbs, sealing food, fixing leaks, and sealing gaps around windows, pipes, and doorways. To get rid of a roach infestation, ditch the hardware store sprays and call Terminix.
